In my imagination platform zero is like year zero: a state of mind like a fresh start of a sunny work-free morning, a chance to reinvent your aspirations, your situation, your outlook, your identity, or even the whole culture you find yourself in.

In reality platform zero is the place you go when you're changing trains at Stockport station to get to Sheffield or Cleethorpes. This is still pretty good.

Everyone should have their very own platform zero.
